Information about Hastelloy C59:
Hastelloy C59 alloy is an austenitic progressive corrosion-resistant alloy that delivers resistance to both aqueous corrosion and the alloy attack at elevated temperatures. In addition, this alloy provides exceptional resistance to general corrosion, pitting, crevice corrosion, intergranular attack, and stress corrosion cracking. As a result, Hastelloy C59 has found numerous applications.
Our tubes generally contain chromium, molybdenum, and tungsten. Our tubes contains a high chromium content which gives them good resistance to wet corrosion by oxidizing agents (ex., nitric acid and ferric and cupric salts). The range of molybdenum and tungsten elements in these tubes give resistance to wet-reducing media (e.g., sulfuric and hydrochloric acids). As a result, this tube provides high resistance to corrosive attack by seawater under stagnant and free-flowing conditions. At elevated temperatures, the high chromium level of this tube helps them resist oxidation, carburization, and sulfidation. In addition, this tube resists high-temperature attacks by halides (e.g., chlorides and fluorides).

Hastelloy C-4 tube has high resistance to the different chemical processing conditions. These comprise warm contaminated mineral acid, chlorine, solvent, chlorine mixed sources, seawater and brine mixtures, etc. However, the laboratory precipitation of these Hastelloy shows the intermetallic precipitation with the other nickel alloys at the temperature ranges of 1200 to 2000oF.
