As a result, this Hastelloy C22 alloy provides excellent metallurgical stability and resistance to localized corrosion and is not sensitized during welding or heating.
Hastelloy C22 Round Bars are good heat resistant and corrosion-resistant. In addition, round bars offer resistance to pitting, stress-corrosion cracking, and crevice corrosion. The nickel alloy in the Hastelloy C22 Round Bars has resisted the structure of grain-boundary warranties in the weld heat-affected zone, thus making it convenient for most chemical methodology applications in the as-welded condition. However, because of the appearance of dangerous phases which form above this temperature, Hastelloy C22 Round Bars should not be used in service applications where temperatures rise above 1250° F.

Hastelloy C22 Round Bars also display resistance to other corrosive working platforms such as oxidizing acid chlorides, wet chlorine, ferric and cupric chlorides, formic and acetic acids, and brine seawater. Additionally, these round bars resist mixed or contaminated chemical solutions, both organic and inorganic.
