When rubbering the cutting dies it should be ensured that appropriate special rubber profiles of high quality are used. Ejection rubbers fulfil several function in the die cutting process, therefore a variety of profiles and materials of various grades of hardness are used. The ejection rubbers have the function to press the cut material after the cutting process out of the cutting rule. On modern automatic die cutting machinery this means compression and spring-back resilience every 0.3 seconds. Also, during the cutting process, ejection rubber have to fix the material in the area of the cutting rule and finally these ejection rubbers serve to support the nicks, in order to thus guarantee that the sheets are transported in the machine without any problems.
