Holy Basil

Holy basil (known as Tulsi in Hindi) is considered “The Queen of Herbs” in Ayurveda. It’s relied on for its abundant healing powers, including its ability to lower cortisol, reduce stress and boost immune system function. Basil is especially effective in treating acne by regulating sebum production and eliminating the spots that blemishes leave behind. It’s also high in vitamin A or retinoids, which are used to reverse the effects of acne and sun damage.
