CONTROL MODULE

This is the Control Module for the Advanced Multifunction Controller.

This control module provides the main processing and control functions of the AMC. This module contains the CPU, RAM, EPROM, I/O bus interface, EC-Link interface, and DC/DC regulators. Status information is provided by LEDs in the display area at the top of the module.

The CPU used in the J-MSC10 si the Motorola 68000 microprocessor. The module has 128K of EPROM and 64K of RAM for the firmware and database of the AMC. The module has a capacitor backup which preserves RAM For up to 72 hours in the event of a power failure.

A single J-MSC10 is used in non-redundant applications; two are required for redundant installations.
