Humira (Adalimumab)

Humira Pen is an injectible drug administered to people with autoimmune disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, Crohn̢۪s disease, plaque psoriasis, and other rheumatic conditions that are a result of a misguided immune system. This medication is a tumor necrosis factor inhibitor. TNF is a protein found in your body that contributes to your inflammatory response when there is a threat detected, whether real or perceived. When you administer the Humira Pen injection as instructed by your physician, the active ingredient called Adalimumab inhibits the production of tumor necrosis factor in order to decrease the painful inflammation that accompanies these disorders. Humira Pen may first be administered by a physician so you can learn how and where to inject it at home if you are comfortable doing so.
