CONSTRUCTION
Crankcase: Pressure lubricated with shaft-mounted oil pump and full flow oil filter. Auxiliary pump as required. Removable guide cylinder liners and babbitted guide pistons.
Bearings: Tapered roller with sleeve type center main
and connecting rod bearings. Bronze wrist pin bushings.
Cylinders: Cast iron, or machined steel for higher pressures. Stainless liners available where required.
Cooling: Efficient water cooling through large passageways in heads, cylinders, gas packings and guide cylinders.
Piston Rings and Packings:
RIX offers a wide selection of self-lubricating piston ring
and packing materials. Special materials from reputable manu- facturers are also available
for various applications.
Piston Rods: Stainless steel or tungsten carbide coated.
Valves: Stainless steel plate type are used in most applications.
PACKAGING
Units are available partially or fully packaged to RIX standard configurations or to customer specifications. Electricmotors are coupled via heavy duty V-belt drives. Customer defined accessories are routinely incorp- orated into RIX packages, and the units are fully factory tested at design pressures and flow.
