Trigonox a-w70 belongs to class F organic peroxide; liquid, grade 5.2; un3109.
Safety And Operation:
Keep the container closed. Store and operate trigonox a-w70 in a dry, well ventilated place, away from heat or ignition sources and direct sunlight. It is forbidden to weigh and pack in the storage room. Avoid contact with reducing agents (e.g. amines), acids, bases and heavy metal compounds (e.g. accelerators, desiccants and metal soaps)
Applications:
Trigonox A-W70 can be used for bulk polymerization, water solution polymerization and emulsion polymerization of styrene, acrylate and methacrylate. The polymerization can be initiated by thermal decomposition of trigonox a-w70 at higher than 110 ºC or free agent produced by redox mechanism at low temperature. Effective organic peroxide reducers are ascorbic acid, vitamin C and sodium hyposulfite. Heavy metals such as cobalt or salt ions may also play a reducing role.
Typical applications of trigonox a-w70 include:
1.The production of acrylate, vinyl acetat e, styrene butadiene copolymer and other rubbers.
2.Curing of styrene polyester.
3.oxidants for hydrocarbons or other chemicals
