Hydroquinone also known as benzene-1, 4-diol and quinol is a aromatic organic compound with formula C6H4(OH)2, It features two hydroxyl groups bonded with benzene ring in a para position. It is a white odorless granular solid used mainly in cosmetics industry as an anti-oxidant. It is soluble in water and is an inflammable compound mainly used in photographic industry as photographic developer, it is also used in stabilizers and a reagent.
