Hydroxy propyl methyl cellulose(hpmc) for coating auxiliary agents,mortar additive,   hpmc, white or similar to white granular powder; odorless. Soluble in water and some organic solvents. There are industrial grade and pharm grade, and widely used in various industries and daily life. cas no: 9004-65-3 physical and chemical properties: 1 appearance: white or similar to white granular powder; odorless. 2 particle size: -100 mesh>98.5%; -80 mesh>100%. 3 carbonization temperature: 280-300° c. 4 apparent density: 0.25-0.70cm³ (usually about 0.5cm³ ), specific density 1.26-1.31. 5 discolor temperature: 190-200° c. 6 surface tension: 2% water solution is 42-56dyncm. 7 solubility: soluble in water and some organic solvents, as appropriate proportion ethanolwater, propanolwater, trichloroethane etc. Solution is surfactant, transparent, and stable performance. Different specifications have different gelation temperature. Hpmc dissolved in water are not affected by ph value. 8 hpmc with methoxyl content decreased, the gel point increased, water solubility decreased, surface activity also decreased. 9 no heat, and was not involved in the metabolism of the human body.  applications:     hpmc can be used as thickeners,dispersing agent,emulsifiers and film-forming agent.its industrial products can be used in chemicals,synthetic resins,construction and coatings.
