Active Constituent:
50mg/ml stanazol.
Contains 1% w/v benzyl alcohol as preservative.
Action:
Stanabolic is a potent anabolic agent with low androgenic effects. It effectively increases both muscular and skeletal weight and hastens the repair of tissues. Stanabolic is an injectable water based anabolic steroid.
Indications:
For use in horses, dogs and cats where an anabolic (tissue building) but weak androgenic effect is required to treat debilitation in animals as a result of illness, injury, surgery, trauma or overexertion.
Anabolic therapy is intended as an adjunct to other specific and supportive therapy, including nutritional therapy. Optimal results can be expected only when dietary intake is adequate and well-balanced.
Anabolic therapy will contribute to improvement in animal weight, coat and general physical condition.
Contra-indications:
Do not use in pregnant animals.
Dosage:
HORSES: 1.1ml/100kg bodyweight, i/m weekly for a maximum of 4 weeks. Thereafter, a lower maintenance dose should be considered or as directed by the veterinary surgeon.
DOGS: 0.5ml (25mg) to 1ml (50mg) i/m weekly.
CATS: 0.2ml (25mg) i/m weekly.
Special Precautions:
Should be used with caution in medical conditions where fluid retention may be undesirable, eg.
Congestive heart failure and renal impairment.
Withholding Times:
It is a legal requirement that this product is not used in any animal producing, or intending to produce, food for human consumption.
