Imatib-Imatinib Tablet is used for the treatment of a chronic myeloid leukemia or CML and GIST tumor that effects digestive passage as it develops in its walls and in some cases spreads to other parts of the body. Imatinib belongs to the category of medicines known as protein-tyrosine kinase inhibitor which can also be taken as a preventive measure for cancer from growing in the patients after they have surgically removed GIST.
