Uses : Immersion heaters are the heaters which are used mainly for heating water, oils, mineral oil, vegetable oil, fuel oil, chemicals, alkaline, acidic & non-acidic solution kept in tanks.
Construction : The immersion heaters are sheathed in S.S. or mild steel or incoly tube or copper as per the requirement. The dia of tube is available from 8.2 mm dia onwards. This heater is fitted to the tank through a check nut for horizontal (through the side) mounting or with flange for vertical (over the side) mounting. The size of check nut or flange is 1¹/₄ " to 2¹/₂BSP.
Electrical Data : In any voltage & wattage depending upon the surface area of heaters.
Working Temperature : The temperature of immersion heater could go upto 600°C depending upon sheathed material & process application.
