Rudraksha is described in many ancient vedic scriptures like Shiv Puran, Nirnaya –Sindhu, Ling Purana, Devibhagwatham, Padma Purana, Astamaalika Upnishad, Rudra Samhita, Kotirudra Samhita,Vayu Samhita, Uma Samhita, Kailasa Samhita etc. Ancient scriptures have a story about the formation of Rudraksha. Indonesian Rudraksha is smaller and lighter than the rudraksh found in Nepal. All the properties of Nepali Rudrakshs and Indonesian Rudraksha are the same.
