We use white marble, black marble, green marble, and many different types of stones to create our products. We procure them majorly from rajasthan and many other states of india. The craftsmanship like inlay work also known as pietra dura & carving is done in agra by our team of artisans, using semi-precious stones which are used in beautifying the products created.
The process of making handicrafts is an intricate one. For instance in making a jewelry box, firstly the required marble is procured and given a defined shape. Then the cavity is engraved on the marble item and the gemstones are fixed with glue on them so that a piece looks attractive and presentable. The product is then polished and put out for sale. The time required to complete an item generally depends on the design of the product and the work required on that item.
The art form used in the making of a marble piece is known as parchinkari which was also used at the time of making the taj mahal.
