Internal Hard Drive

Internal hard disk is a computer peripheral that resides inside the computer and comes with different capacities ranges such as 160 GB, 250 GB, 320 GB, 500 GB, 750 GB, 1 TB, 1.5 TB, 2 TB and 3 TB. Most of the computers which are already assembled from the companies like HCL, Dell and others contain a single internal hard disk which is extendable.
More than one internal hard drive can be inserted in the desktop computers if the motherboard has more slots for power and SATA wire for hard disks these are generally faster as compared to the external hard disk. There are mostly two interfaces of hard disk one is PATA and other is SATA. Modern hard disk uses SATA connection as an interface.
The internal hard drive is one of the key components of a computer since it stores the user's software and personal files. While the rest of a computer's components can be easily replaced, if a hard drive fails, it may replace but the data may not be able to be recovered.
