Iron Dextran Injection, Brand Name : chengkang

Pharmacological effects: Slowly absorbed through the lymphatic system after intramuscular injection of iron dextran. About 60% of the iron is absorbed after 3 days injection, 90% after 1 to 3 weeks, the remainder of the drug can be slowly absorbed within a few months. Liver, spleen and bone marrow reticular class skin cells can absorb the gradual elimination of the drug from the plasma, Dissociated iron from from dextran immediately combine with protein molecules and formed ferritin or transferrin. The dextran be metabolized or excreted.
Indication: For the treatment of sever iron deficiency anemia
Usage and Dosage: Intramuscular injection. For foal, calf 2~6ml per time, piglets 1~2ml.
