Irvingia Gabonensis Seed

Irvingia gabonensis also known as Ogbono seed is a tree, native to West Africa. The seeds are used to make medicine. There is interest in using supplements containing Irvingia gabonensis for weight loss, lowering cholesterol levels, and improving control of diabetes. They bear edible mango-like fruits, and are especially valued for their fat- and protein-rich nuts.
