Why “OMMA” Brand PVC PRVs Can NEVER CHOKE?
The metallic valves prescribed by various Irrigation Institutions of the country have been used for long but due to its non-functional aspect they got choked, hence non-metallic PVC Pressure Release Valves were adopted vide IS 4558-1983, which was further revised during 1995 wherein PVC Strainer Pipe & PVC Housing Pipes were specified. The writer is on the B I S Penal for this item, letter enclosed. OMMA Brand PVC Pressure Release Valves are Patent Protected.
Why PVC (Polly Vinyl Chloride) : Being chemically inert, PVC made OMMA Brand Pressure Relief/Release Valves have no affinity for bonding with organic /inorganic salts present in soil & water. PVC has an excellent resistance to acid, alkalis & salts in all concentrations. It (PVC) can handle water with pH value 2 to 12 and have excellent resistance to weathering. Apart from this PVC has maximum ‘C’ Value (value of coefficient ‘C’ in Hazen & William formula for PVC Pipes is 155) so that there are minimum friction losses to discharge & drainage.
The IS 4558-1995 specifies PVC Strainer Pipe & PVC Housing Pipes. The perforated portion of the pipe is further covered Nylon Jali as per OMMA’s innovation.
Entire assembly along with valve body is installed in filter box/media as per details available in the said IS Code. In this way you’ll get clear water for discharge.
All these factors in view (with our background in manufacturing and supplying PVC Pressure relief/release valves for the last over two decades), we have yet to receive/get some report of OMMA Brand PVC PRVs getting chocked or not functioning properly so far.
We are enclosing the details of projects (List of Projects) where OMMA Brand PVC PRVs have been installed and working satisfactorily till date.
We recommend that OMMA Brand PVC PRVs of 100mm diameter may be
specified for 25sqr.mtr of area in plan for proper and safe drainage.

We have already initiated necessary proceedings for protection of the foresaid patents under the provision of INDIAN PATENT ACT.
We believe that the intellectual property invented and owned by us is being usurped and used by unauthorized persons. The unauthorized persons are taking undue advantage of the procedure of patent filing in India that necessarily publishes patent application before grant. The unauthorized persons are copying the technology form our published applications and are manufacturing substandard products, thus compromising the technology itself. Hence, besides copying the technology they are using sub-standard parts and selling them to innocent buyers. The unauthorized persons in the grab of discount are alluring innocent buyers to buy their products without any consideration about the workability of the product.
Hence, we give stress to the point that the price should be the second consideration and the quality of the product should not be compromised.
