Itopride belongs to the prokinetic benzamine derivative. This medicine used in the treatment of gastrointestinal problems like stomach pain, stomach ulcers, intestinal problem, functional dyspepsia.

STORAGE CONDITIONS: Store in cool and dry place, away from direct light and heat.Do not store product in bathroom or kitchen. Keep away from children and pets.

HOW TO USE: Take medicine on empty stomach, three times per day.The dose off the medicine depends on age, sex and body conditions.Take advice of your doctor before taking medication.

HOW ITOPRIDE WORKS: Itopride works on the upper digestive system to increase the stomach movements and intestinal mechanisms. By this action Itopride allows food to move more easily in the GI system.Itopride also act on the region of the brain which controls the vomiting.

PHARMACOKINETICS: Itopride absorbed in rapidly in GI track after the oral take 30-50 minutes to reach the peak plasma concentration.Almost 96% of Itopride binds with the plasma proteins.The half-life of Itopride medicine is 6 hours.Only 3.7-4.1% of drug excreted unchanged by the urination.

SIDE EFFECTS OF ITOPRIDE: The common side effects are headache, nausea, abdominal pain, stomach pain, jaundice, weakness, loss of appetite etc.The major side effects like decrease in white and red blood cells, Gynacomasti, increase live enzymes levels, kidney problem,  allergic skin reactions are also seen in some patients.Tell your doctor if any of above side effects seen in the patients.

PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor if you have allergies towards the Itopride medicine.
