itotas (itraconazole) is an antifungal medication which belongs to a class of drugs known as triazoles, it is generally used to treat infections of the mouth, throat, vagina, and other parts of the body including fingernails and toenails. 

indications:

• aspergillosis (fungal infection in the lungs)

• fungal infections of mouth & throat

• vulvovaginal candidosis (vaginal yeast infection)

• blastomycosis (a fungal infections of the lungs which can cause pneumonia)

• onychomycosis  (fungal infection of the toenails or fingernails)

mechanism of action:

itraconazole works by inhibiting the synthesis of fungal cell membrane by the inhibition of an enzyme called lanosterol 14-α-demethylase (this plays a key role in the synthesis of fungal cell membrane), thereby providing fungicidal and fungistatic action.
