[pharmacological actions] ivermectin is a anti-parasite-specific antibiotics of macrocyclic for animal specially.ivermectin injection has favorable killing effect to endoparasite and ectoparasite especially arthropod and endoparasite.the mechanism of action is promote presynapic neuronal to release γ aminobutyric acid gaba,thereby open chloride channel mediated by gaba,also has selectivity and high affinity to the chloride channel mediated by glutamic acid which is nearby mediated point of gaba of the intertebrate nervers and muscles cell. Chlorine ion current can reduce membrane impedance of cell,result in slight depolarization of postsynaptic cell prohibition,interfere the signal transmission between nerve and muscle,so that the polypide become lack and paralysis,then die or be eliminated.consistency integrator cell and excitatory neuron is the site of action to edlworm,while neuromuscular junctions is the site of action to arthropod.
[indications]this product has a wide broad spectrum effect of repelling nematodes and killing parasites in vitro.for animal scabies mites, flies, maggots, lice , it has a high degree of activity for them. For the majority of the nematodes,it has a good effect of repling and killing. and the effect is 8-10 times more than common drugs. At the same time, the this products will increase appetite of animal, improve the feed conversion rate and productivity and enhanced resistance to disease. for ectoparasites: such as sarcoptessuis, scrapie mites.sarcoptesbovis, louse, flea,tick, maggot, pellagra, rabbit ear mite, scalyleg,etc.
For endoparasites:adult and worm eggs of ascaris suum, lung silk worms, hook worm and cysticercus.
[usage and dosage] subcutaneous injection for cattle,sheep,0.2mg(0.02ml)/kg. Oral administration, 0.03-0.04ml/kg.
[adverse reaction]24 hours after medication, the horse may appear dropsy and pruritus nearby medioventral line because of allergic response caused by the dead of filariae.and the dropsy will decrease in 7-10 days, the prutitus will relieve within 3 weeks.
When using for treat babiche larvae disease fo cattle, if the larvea died in criticality part, it will cause sever adverse effect.if in spinal canal,will cause palsy and stagger; if in oesophagus,will cause dribble or gaseous. If treat immediately after the weble fly season or after migratory stage of warble fly larval, the above problems will be avoided.meanwhile, the injection site will be indisposition or edema fugax, this will decrease by injecting at different site( the dosage not more than 10ml at each site)
-when treatin microfilaria infect, dog may have shock response, this maybe related to the dead microfilaria.
