J-B Weld contains a specific mixture of Fine Steel in a liquid base. We use a super strength chemical for a carrier and activator that causes the super hard finish after the curing process.J-B Weld etches other materials that helps the metalizing process to bond tighter and adhere forever. This etching allows J-B Weld to co-mingle with other materials causing a near perfect weld. Many machine shops use J-B Weld for repairing cracked motor blocks and other castings, because of its tougher qualities and it will not shrink and is not affected by gasoline, oil, water and most other chemicals.
