The Johara® Complete care formula was tested in Indiana University –School of Dentistry , Oral Health Research Institute , USA for its safety and effect on the teeth enamel. Relative dentin abrasivity (RDA) is a method for measuring the abrasive effect that the components of the toothpaste have on the tooth, particularly on enamel and dentin (Tooth Cutting Ability). The methodology uses test standards as adopted by American Dental Association (ADA) namely, reference toothbrush, 150g pressure, 1500 strokes and 4-to-1 water-toothpaste slurry. According to the ISO standard, every toothpaste with an RDA under 250 is safe for a lifetime of use.
