It is free and extendable which is detached into front-end templates and back-end templates (administrator). JOOMLA is constructed using PHP, Object Oriented Programming, software design patterns and My SQL. It is constructed on a model–view–controller web application framework that can be worn independently of the CMS.
HISTORY OF JOOMLA
JOOMLA was the result of a fork of Mambo on August 17, 2005. At that time, the Mambo name was a trademark of MIRO International Pty Ltd, who composed a non-profit foundation with the stated purpose of funding the project and protecting it from lawsuits. The JOOMLA advancement team alleged that many of the provender of the foundation structure violated earlier agreements made by the elected Mambo Steering Committee, lacked the essential deliberation with key stakeholders and constituted provisions that violated origin open source values.
