Jute/Hessian

Jute is also often called burlap. The fiber comes from the same bast plant family as hemp, linen, flax and ramie do. Mesta, or Kenif, botanically known as Hibiscus Cannabinus, is also grown in contiguous areas as a textile fiber and is mixed with jute to produce the fabrics you see. Today it is being recognized as being as exciting as its cousins: hemp, linen, flax and ramie.
