Kaftrio Tablets

Kaftrio granules are indicated in a combination regimen with ivacaftor for the treatment of cystic fibrosis (CF) in paediatric patients aged 2 to less than 6 years who have at least one F508del mutation in the cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) gene.   Someone's genotype – the CF gene variants (mutations) they have – is one reason that they might not be able to benefit from Kaftrio. Kaftrio is only approved for people with CF who have specific CF gene variants, because it does not work for other variants.
