Contact SupplierKashmir Saffron (Kesar) consists of three types: Laccha, Mongra and Zarda. Mongra is one of them that comes with a sweet earthy fragrance and a rich red pigment. The ancient Kashmiri Mongra Saffron is the most expensive of all three because of it's superior quality. The reason why it's expensive is the fact that it is harvested by hand, making it an intensive work process since it is done manually plus climate plays an important role. Sunlight, moisture and cold temperature must be of a particular degree when picking the flowers.
