Kernmantle Rope

These are high strength braided ropes having a tightly braided sheath which is known as a mantle around twisted parallel core known as a Kern. Kernmantle constructions are very suitable for applications where a high level of safety is demanded.  The core ( which consists of 7-9 ends of laid rope) provides the majority of the strength, while the sheath protects the core from abrasion. Sizes available from 10 mm to 18 mm. Packed in coils of 100 metres.
