’The Tut Block’ (Brand Name)
The biggest barricade we have has the most volume for high water weight. Great for security and areas with high threats. Designed for abuse and many set upstake downs.
Suggested Uses
These can be very heavy barriers when you fill them up all the way with water (2840 lbs)! They can act as good deterrents at military bases or airports – basically anywhere that a vehicular attack can happen. When empty, they can be moved around by just two people. Some of the more common colors are white, yellow and orange. They also come in desert tan and olive drab (military colors).
Ballistics
One danger of concrete barriers is the shrapnel they produce during explosions or if bullets hit. There is no flying concrete involved with water barriers.
Other Features
Great for stacking
Form a continuous line of protection by placing cables between where barricades are spaced. They can also be attached to stationary objects.
The cable capability can help to reduce both the level of vehicle penetration and lateral deflection.
Barricades at ground level lock together via the tamper resistant (set up underneath barricades) U-connector.
Both reflective panels and barricade lights can be installed.
Use these individually or together to form a wall using the U-connector
If you are researching a large area for the least expensive way to fence it in, this unit has one of the best per-square-foot values out there.
Frequently Asked Questions
Could I attach a barricade light to this?
Though these are not built to accept barricade lights specifically, I do have customers who have built custom brackets that have worked for this unit.
Will shipping be expensive?
Because of the sheer size and weight of these units, shipping can be expensive. We try to keep our unit pricing down to help with the overall expense. These are stocked in Edinburgh, IN (46124) and ship from there. Also we have barriers that ship from Utah and Pennsylvania – find out which kind is closest to you to save the most on shipping.
Can you provide the shipping dimensions?
The shipping class is 250, there are 4 units per pallet, a pallet weighs 100lbs itself and each unit is 170lbs.
Do you have used units? Are they cheaper?
Yes we do typically have at least one version of a jersey barrier that is used, call for more information. We will pass on a discount.
