Kodubale/ Kodbale is amongst the famous deep fried savouries of Karnataka which actually have the shape of a ring In Kannada “Kodu” word has 2 different meanings. One meaning is “horn” while the other one is a generic name meant for whole long beans or dried beans. Dried long beans is called “alasande kodu” in Kannada. While in Kannada “bale” interprets to bangles. That is why due to the shape of the snack it has gotten its name “Kodubale”
