KOSCOL-Colour Precipitant

KOSCOL precipitants are non-toxic aqueous polymers with cationic properties. precipitants react with negatively charged colour compounds, neutralizing their charges, and thereby causing precipitation. The precipitated colour is subsequently removed during Juice/syrup/melt clarification.

For Clear Juice:10-12 ppm

It gives a 10-20% decolourization across clarification.

It can be used to reduce syrup sulphation with a corresponding reduction in inversion losses and therefore an increased sugar yield.

Also, reduce the process sulphur consumption as well as SO2 ppm in the final sugar.

To reduce recirculation of sugar in the crystallisation process to improve sugar colour resulting in improved sugar yield.

For Syrup/Melt Clarification: 80-100 ppm

• It gives a 10-12% decolourization in Syrup and 35-45% across the Melt clarification system.
• Being liquid form, it’s user-friendly.
• Due to high colour removal, improves turbidity and viscosity
