Lanthanum Oxide La2O3, as a solid white powder is odorless and insoluble in water, though it will disolve in dilute acid. If left alone in air, La2O3 will absorb moisture and convert to lanthanum hydroxide. Lanthanum oxide is otherwise quite stable and non-reactive.
