LATHE CUT RUBBER RINGS

One of our areas of expertise is in the manufacture of a wide array of Lathe Cut Rubber seals, gaskets and washers. We have been producing these products for over 40 years.
We utilize a rubber extruding process which yields a tube that is then installed on a mandrel and heat cured to vulcanize the elastomer. The curing process sets the mechanical properties and the inside diameter of the rubber. After curing, the tube is run through a grinding process which controls the outside diameter and hence radial wall thickness. These tubes are then installed onto a lathe where the finish product is created by slicing to a specified thickness or “cut”.
