vessel as a powder in the normal way.

in comparison with commonly used vegetable tannins such as mimosa, chestnut or

quebracho, is its much better light fastness, it also gives clear and more brilliant dye shade.

latan vt is sensitive to ferric ions and the formation of iron stains to counter

this latan vt has been adequately desensitized by the addition of a complexing

agent. if however iron stains should forms, the addition of an iron complexing agent is

recommended 0.2 to 0.5 % based on shaved or pelt weight.

latan-vt can be added after neutralization of the leather at 4 - 45 % on shaved

weight of the leathers for all types of dyed leathers, depending on the required leather

character and substance.
