Contact SupplierThe leg curl machine is a resistance training device designed to isolate and strengthen the hamstrings, the group of muscles located on the back of the thigh. It 's commonly used in both rehabilitation and athletic training programs.
Description:
Design: The machine includes a padded bench or seat, adjustable pads for securing the legs, and a weight resistance system (either a selectorized weight stack or plate-loaded).
Types:
Seated Leg Curl: The user sits upright with thighs supported and curls the legs downward.
Lying (Prone) Leg Curl: The user lies face down and curls the legs upward toward the buttocks.
Standing Leg Curl: Typically works one leg at a time with the user standing.
How It Works:
Position yourself so your knees align with the machine’s pivot point.
Place your legs behind or under the padded lever (depending on the type).
Curl your legs toward your body by contracting your hamstrings.
Slowly return to the starting position in a controlled motion.
Muscles Worked:
Primary: Hamstrings (biceps femoris, semitendinosus, semimembranosus)
Secondary: Calves (gastrocnemius, especially during lying curls)
