Contact SupplierThe leg extension machine is a gym machine designed to isolate and strengthen the quadriceps, the four-part muscle group located on the front of the thigh. It 's commonly used for developing muscle size and strength in the quads and is also used in rehabilitation settings to rebuild knee strength.
Description:
Structure: The machine has a padded seat with a backrest, a pivoting padded lever for the lower legs, and a resistance system (either a weight stack with a pin or plate-loaded).
Adjustability: The seat and leg pad can typically be adjusted to match the user’s body size and ensure proper alignment of the knee joint with the machine’s axis of rotation.
How It Works:
Sit on the machine with your back against the pad and knees bent at about 90 degrees.
Place your shins under the padded bar, just above your ankles.
Select the desired weight.
Extend your knees to lift the padded bar by contracting your quadriceps.
Slowly lower the bar back to the starting position with control.
Muscles Targeted:
Primary: Quadriceps (rectus femoris, vastus lateralis, vastus medialis, vastus intermedius)
