lighting enclosures are exposed to temperature and pressure changes. Protective vents protect against the negative effects of pressure differentials. They provide an effective barrier against harsh weather conditions (rain, snow, high winds). The vents allow water vapor to exit quickly and reduce the likelihood of condensation on the lens.
Solar equipment
pressure within solar equipment enclosures can drop dramatically as a result of rapid temperature changes, causing deflection of cpv panel lenses and stressing enclosure seals. Protective vents equalize internal pressure while they also prevent dirt, salt, water and other corrosive liquids from entering the enclosures.
