The lightning surges are caused by thunderstorms, direct or close lightning strikes into its immediate surroundings or into the conductive system entering the structure (low voltage power supply). The power wiring along with the signal cables produces electrostatic discharges to get them transmitted to the electronic equipment. Whenever the voltage stroke comes, it gets arrested by the Type I Surge protectors and further transmits to the ground.

The Lightning Surge Suppression Devices are installed inside the main distribution box and no extra power supply is needed to operate the lightning surge protector which have been fitted with a mechanical fault indicator, adding effective protection to electrical plants via the pre-counter sector.
