Lime Slacker

Drum Slaker consists of a rotating, generally horizontal cylindrical vessel; lime and green liquor enter at one end and leave at the other end after slaking. A Trommel screen is installed at the exit to catch large oversize pebbles and grits. (60% Green liquor enters at feed end and 40% at the discharge end through a splitter box).Baffles are provided inside the Drum Slaker to ensure proper chemical reactions with the desired retention time.
