Linear Expansion Apparatus
For determination of coefficient of linear expansion of the material of a rod, when heated. A metal pipe with two connection nozzles – one for steam inlet & other for outlet – is mounted on a metal base with the help of brackets. At one end is fitted a Dial indicator, graduated 0.01mm/division. The dial indicator can be easily mounted while use and removed after use for storage. Three rods of different materials – brass, copper and steel – included. Binding posts for connecting a bell or galvanometer to indicate the make/break of contacts. With instruction manual.
