Linear Low Density Polyethylene (LLDPE)

Linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) is a type of thermoplastic polymer that is commonly used in a variety of applications due to its unique properties. LLDPE is a linear polymer made from ethylene and alpha-olefins, and is formed by a process called polymerization.
LLDPE is characterized by its high tensile strength, puncture resistance, and flexibility, which make it ideal for use in applications such as plastic bags, stretch films, and food packaging. One of the advantages of LLDPE is its excellent resistance to impact, which makes it useful for applications that require a high degree of toughness, such as in the production of garbage bags, agricultural films, and construction films. It is also highly resistant to chemicals and UV radiation, which makes it useful for outdoor applications.
However, LLDPE is less heat-resistant than high-density polyethylene (HDPE), which limits its use in applications that require high-temperature resistance. It is also less recyclable than HDPE, although it can be recycled into products such as trash bags, plastic lumber, and irrigation pipes.
