together with students from the radboud university, nijmegen, the netherlands, we developed a cheap computer that fits in the palm of your hand. It is very small, though is capable of showing the same qualities and benefits of its much larger and more expensive family members.
one can use these small and cheap computers for all kind of jobs. It can for instance be used to start up companies in west africa, or a small "one person" company in india, pakistan, nepal, philippines, south-america or other places where creativity is available but only a very limited budget. Its especially these countries that have companies with a lot of potential but not the materials and methods to show this as they struggle to get their hands on a computer.
the developed computer can hold up to 4 usb ports for additional accessories, such as keyboards or screens. Furthermore they can be delivered with an easily handled functional computing system. Our computers can also be used for developing software, as you can store and manage information relatively easy. Finally, it can be used as a detection system when connected with an hd camera or infrared camera via a simple usb port. Of course other industrial sensors can be utilized for monitoring, as long as they are connectable via usb.
