Design Aspects:

• The Dimensions (diameter & length) of the vessel shall be decided based on the site conditions, soil mechanics & type of fabrication facilities available.
• The External surface of the Vessels, which is covered by mound should be protected from corrosion.
• By Provision of external surface coating
• By Cathodic protection (Impressed current system)
• For mounded bullet used for refinery service, due to presence of caustic environment & H2S, the internal portion of vessel should be coated with suitable anticorrosive coating.
