Scope of Works Mechanical (‘X1’ & ‘Z1’ ,X2 & Z2 Axes) 

• Before dismantling the machine we will check machine geometrical accuracies.
• Dismantle the machine along with all accessories (except column, spindle, and spindle assembly & gear box) from the existing location and tagging each & every item.
• Clean all the components and sub-assemblies thoroughly.
• Alignment of the ‘X’ axis and its guide ways and cleaning up of the same.
• Designing of new Ball screw motor mounting, timer pulley, timing belt, End Bearing Housing, Nut Housing Bearings, etc. to suit and match the existing lead screw transmission for both ‘X1’ and ‘Z1’ X2 & Z2  axes.
• Grinding /scraping of ‘X1’ & ‘Z1’, X2 & Z2 Axis slides. Bottom slides will be fixed with Turcite slide way (Anti friction material) & then scrapped to match their respective slides. By this we will achieve better accuracy and ensure smooth running of both the axes.
• Machining of the Ball Screw Mounting Area & Nut Housing Mounting area.
• Installing & fixing this new ball screw transmission including ‘Nut Mounting Bracket’, End Support Bearing Housing with required bearings and related hardware for both axis. Necessary ball screw protection covers will be installed and fixed on the machine.
• New AC Servo motor with timer belt and pulley arrangement will be installed on the all axes with Mecoloc Couplings. {Ratio of pulley will be 1:2}.
• Planetary reduction gear boxes of ALFA make for all 4 axis to reduce the load on motor for smooth running of machine.
• New piping for centralized lubrication will be installed for the ball screw fitment (for both axes). Other existing piping for the centralized lubrication will be retained and fixed back to the machine. Any modifications to the existing centralized lubrication required will be carried out and fixed to the machine.
• Fagor make linear scales for all 4 axis.
• Geometrical checking of the machine & correcting the same if necessary.
• Laser calibration of the total machine will be carried out after the complete overhauling, retrofitting.
• Dry run of the machine.
• Machine trials.
• Handover of the machine.
