Maggi

Maggi is Germany's premier line of seasonings, bouillons, sauces, and recipe fixings. Founded in 1868 when Julius Maggi took over the mill of his father in Kempttal, Switzerland, the company invented the soup seasoning in 1886. In 1887, Maggi formed a subsidiary in Singen, Germany; a decade later, Maggi, Ltd. was founded in Singen.
Maggi merged with Nestle in 1947. Today, the brand enjoys 99% brand awareness in Germany with 1 billion purchases per year. Voted the Most Trusted Brand in 2015, Maggi continues to create "good food moments" for its consumers, ardent fans who download 8.2 million recipes a year from the company's web sites.
Julius Maggi's philosophy of "helping and serving" remains the cornerstone of the company's "Kochstudio" located in Frankfurt.
