Character of research hybrid Maize (Double Cross) Sambsadashiv :-

• Seed ratio per Acre : 8Kg by sowing & 6 Kg by dibbling method.
• Sowing Method : Row to row 21 inch and plant to plant 6 inch.
• As per soil requirement chemical fertilizer dosage and 2 tons per acre cow dunk organic manure will require.
• Flowering period : For Sambsadashiv around 45 to 50 days. 5 to 10 days variation is taken granted for flowering. The variation can be affected by climatic condition.
• Green COB : Green COB will be obtain in Sambsadashiv around 60 to 70 days. Variety of green COB is used for eating purpose.
• Harvesting period : Harvesting period for Sambsadshiv is around 90 to 105 days.
• Grain Colour of Sambsadshiv is faint red colour with yellow shade, and grain shape is 50% round shape and 50% elliptical like to be teeth.
• Disease and pest : Tolerance for medileaf blight.
• Yield ratio : From 15 Qtls to 35 Qtls per acre in proper climatic condition and in proper agronomy. The krushibhushan farmers have taken 37 Qtl yield per acre in proper agronomy and proper climatic condition. If climatic condition is worst and agronomy is not proper then Yield can go down from the above given ratio.
• Variety isshort duration growing variety.
• If the temperature is going above 42 degree at the time of flowering period then yield can be affected.

Note : When fertilizer dosage are applied at the time of sowing then you can mix furadon 4kg granuals per acre to prevent wilting and sucking pest problem

• Green COB : Green COB will be obtain in Sadashiv within 70 to 75 days. Variety of green COB is used for eating purpose.
• Harvesting period : Harvesting period of Sadashiv is around 120 to 130 days.
• Grain colour of Sadashiv is yellowish red and shiny. 60% grain is roundish and 40% is elliptical like to be teeth.
• Disease and pest : Tolerance for medileaf blight.
• Yield ratio : From 25 Qtls to 50 Qtls per acre in proper climatic condition and in proper agronomy. The krushibhushan farmers have taken 60 Qtl yield per acre in properagronomy and proper climatic condition. If climatic condition is worst and agronomy is not proper then Yield can go down from the above given ratio.
• Variety is medium duration growing variety.
• If the temperature is going above 42 degree at the time of flowering period then yield can be affected.
