They are very useful for applications where suspended solid load is comparatively high and they have to cater a high flow rate.
Manual disc filter is again bifurcated with respect to the available design type, are “y” type manual disc filter and “t” type disc filter. We can get bigger flow rate in “t” type disc filter compare to “y” type disc filter. Availability of micron rating in manual disc filter is 50 micron, 100 micron, 130 micron, 200 micron, 400 micron.
