VISION
First Phase ( 2017-18 to 2023-24)
The Ajnala Coop. Sugar Mills proposes that the crushing capacity of the mills be enhanced to 3500 TCD as the cane availability in the coming years shall increase. Cogeneration plant may also be installed in the mills with capacity of 15MW on BOOT basis.
2nd Phase ( 2024-25 to 2029-30)
In the second phase new distillery project for production of Ethanol or extra neutral alcohol may be considered for setting up in the mills premises.
HISTORY
The Ajnala Cooperative Sugar Mills Ltd., Village Bhalla Pind, Tehsil Ajnala, Distt. Amritsar was registered vide letter No. 21 dated 4-4-1977 and started its first sugarcane crushing season in the year 1990-91. The Sugar Mills installed capacity is 2500 TCD (Tonne of Cane Per Day ).
This mills got registered under Cooperative Societies and was set up with total expenditure of Rs. 2698.00 Lacs. The mills is going to install new Wet Scrubbers this crushing season ( 2016-17) with cost of Rs. 61.00 Lacs. Further mills is installing Semi-Kestner procured from Zira Cooperative Sugar Mills, by doing so we propose to achieve 100% capacity utilization.
