Stainless Steel Copper Coated Maxiwatt Cartridge Heater (T8)

Compressed cartridge. Termination with racort Ref. "T8"

Totally watertight and reinforced cartridge, prepared for an easy extraction, by means of a thread, of its location in case of dislodging of the same one. Ideal for areas where there are watertight pressures and liquids. The Ref. T8 termination is indicated for heating areas where there are pressures (oil tanks, water, glues, plastics) or deflagrations.

Recommendations:

Cartridges should be as tight as possible.

When preparing to drill holes where the cartridge will be located, consider the following factors:

• The inside of the bore should be uniform, without scratches or different diameters, however small, it is recommended to finish it with a reamer.
• Heat rises
• Dissipation is higher at the ends and heat will be concentrated in the center.
• Choose stock cartridges between 8 to 11 W/cm2
• Try to have the drill with an outlet, in order to have an easier disassembly.
• The connections must never be inside the borehole, as there is a risk of crossover or burning.
• The connections must be protected to prevent liquids, plastics, gases, etc. from falling out.
• It is advisable to incorporate probes that should be at a maximum distance of 15 mm from the cartridge, connected to a temperature regulator.
• The cartridges must have a minimum cartridge spacing of 3 times the cartridge diameter.

Indications:

• Indicate with symbols the warning of hot surfaces.
• Store as protected from humidity as possible.
• Cut off the total current of the machine or mold.
• Check that the machine or mold is at room temperature.
• Introduction without any anti-cold paste.
• Holes exclusively with H7 tolerance.
• Attach regulation and cut-off systems (thermocouples and regulators).
• Introduction of 100% of the cartridge case length.
• Do not insert the connection cable inside the hole.
• Protect the cables and connection inlet of the cartridge from: shocks, splashes and excess material.
• Do not pick up or carry the cartridge by the cable.
• Keep the cable away from the heat source and protected from heat.
• Do not repair damaged cables. Replace them with new ones identical to the original ones.
• Indicate and submit in writing, before acceptance of the order, the working conditions (vibration, shocks, humid environments).
• Never leave in operation without qualified human presence.
• All of the above are mandatory for the safety of people and property.
